* Mould from your air conditioner! This summer we
are using air conditioners more than ever. Not only at home but also
in hotels, restaurants and in the food industry. If they are not maintained
properly you will be exposed to mould and other microorganisms. Keep
an eye on the filter and change it regularly.
* How effective are vacuum cleaners? We tested the
air coming out from modern vacuum cleaners and found a large amount
of micro-particles, including dust, in the exhaust. The performance
characteristics points to inefficiencies beyond our imagination.
* JR is exposing users of SUICA card to high levels of electromagnetic
waves. JOF measured the electromagnetic waves from the ticket
gates at a JR East Japan rail-station and found the levels excessive.
JR still has not properly answered our
letter to them about our concerns.
